This semester I learned a lot of new skills that I will continue to use in the future. The first thing that I learned is ethos, logos, and pathos. This has changed my writing in a huge way. When it comes to writing papers its important to use ethos, logos, and pathos. Ethos is the credibility and trust, so how the information was delivered and if it came from a credible source. Logos is logic and reason, what proof do they provide you with. Lastly, pathos is the emotion that was used in the source. This is a skill that I will use for the rest of my educational career.
My topic in the evening of the semester was about how sleep can affect your mental health. For the last project, I switched it to pollution in the ocean. Both of these topics took a lot of time to fully understand the topic that I picked. The most significant thing that I learned bout how sleep affects your mental health is that lack of sleep can cause long term problems. Meaning, it can cause sleep disorders or personality disorders. The most significant thing that I learned about pollution is that all that trash that ends up in the ocean turns into toxins that we could possibly ingest.
